Donation Policy
This policy sets out the basic rules for receiving voluntary donations for the benefit of the mission through hosted Stripe Payment Links, bank transfer, and QR Platba. It explains what data may be processed in connection with payments, how transparency is maintained, and what to do in the event of an obvious payment error.
- Support methods: Hosted Stripe Payment Links, bank transfer, QR Platba
- Nature of the donation: A voluntary charitable contribution, not payment for goods or a membership service
- Payment cards: The website does not collect or store full card details
- Email for financial enquiries: yosyp@cerkva-praha.cz
Card payments
Card donations must take place only on hosted Stripe pages. Once you move to the payment provider's page, further processing of the payment data is governed by that provider's rules, not by the mission's website itself.
Bank transfer and QR Platba
Bank transfer and QR Platba are full, first-class support methods. The website only displays payment details or a QR code and does not turn into its own payment application.
Transparency and respect for the donor
Donor data is not used for marketing without separate consent. The mission processes only the information that is genuinely needed to receive a donation, keep accounts, issue confirmation, or resolve a disputed situation.
General principles
A donation to the mission is a voluntary charitable contribution. It is not payment for goods, a digital service, or access to closed content.
The mission uses donations to support worship, pastoral presence, the organisational needs of the community, and individual public fundraising efforts where such campaigns are open.
How the donation methods work
Support may be given through hosted Stripe Payment Links for one-time or recurring card support, through ordinary bank transfer using the published payment details, or through QR Platba as a convenient one-time payment method in the Czech banking environment.
The website does not process card payments itself and does not store full card details. If you move to a Stripe page or use your own bank, the relevant payment provider or bank processes the payment data under its own terms.
What data we may receive
Depending on the donation method, we may receive the donor's name, email address, or other contact details, the amount, currency, date, status, and technical transaction identifier, as well as a message from the donor about the intended purpose of the donation if such a note was provided.
The scope of the data depends on the specific payment channel. The mission does not receive full card details.
What the data is used for
Donation-related data is used only for the proper receipt and administration of the contribution: to confirm receipt of the donation or respond to the donor's enquiry, to keep accounting, tax, and internal financial records, and to deal with mistakes, fraud, duplicate payments, or technical failures.
The legal basis will normally be compliance with a legal obligation, the legitimate interest in proper financial administration, and, where relevant, steps taken at the donor's request.
Payment errors, refunds, and designated fundraising purposes
A voluntary donation is not normally subject to automatic refund because it is not payment for goods or services. If there has been an obvious technical failure, a duplicate payment, or an incorrectly entered amount, please write without undue delay to yosyp@cerkva-praha.cz.
Each case is reviewed individually in light of the payment provider's rules, the bank's rules, and the applicable law. If a donation was marked for a specific open fundraising purpose, the mission will use it for the declared purpose or update the public information about how the funds are used.
Data sharing, retention periods, and donors' rights
Stripe, banks, accounting contractors, or auditors may be involved in the processing of donations if this is necessary for lawful and transparent financial activity. Data is retained for as long as required by accounting, tax, and anti-fraud rules and for the period needed to resolve a claim or technical mistake.
Donors have the rights described in the Privacy Policy: the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and other rights where provided by law. For financial or privacy-related enquiries, please use yosyp@cerkva-praha.cz.
